The main themes of this course concern learning the basic legal norms of the European Convention of Human rights and Fundamental Freedoms, European Social Charter and the European Union Charter of Human Rights including other European IGOs and NGOs in human rights field. Among the topics that will be explored are basic aspects of International Law related to human rights norms, organisation of the European Court of Human Rights, jurisdiction, proceedings of the Court and the effects of a judgement of the Court. Along with political, civil, social, economical and cultural rights we shall explore other areas like women´s, children´s and minority rights, too.
