ICMM, International center for Mathematical Modeling

in physics, engineering and cognitive sciences

Director of the ICMM: Andrei Khrennikov, Professor Mathematics, Linnaeus university.

Main activities of the ICMM

  1. International projects on mathematical modeling in natural and social sciences.
  2. Organization (on the basis of Växjö university) of international research semesters devoted to special programmes with the invitation of scientists from leading universities of the world.
  3. Regular international workshops and courses (for graduate and PhD students).
  4. PhD education with international base.

Main directions of investigations of the ICMM

  1. Mathematical methods of quantum physics (field theory, Feynman integrals, supersymmetric fields, structure of space-time on Planck distances).
  2. Quantum computers and teleportation.
  3. Acoustics and theory of partial differential equations (with applications to auto and air-plane modeling).
  4. Electromagnetic fields and partial differential equations (with applications to radio and television signals).
  5. Chaotic systems in classical and quantum physics (with applications to electrical engineering and cognitive sciences).
  6. Cognitive information models and neural networks (with applications to sociology and brain's functioning).
  7. Cognitive information models and quantum physics (with applications to sociology).
  8. Image analysis and compression of information (for radio and television signals).
  9. Fluid dynamics applied to fans and transport.
  10. Mathematical models in economy, especially migration models.
  11. Financial mathematics with specialization for the Swedish stock market.
  12. Wood project (physical and mathematical problems).
