The main aim of this Conference is to reconsider foundations of quantum theory.
The following problems will be discussed during the Conference:
- Analys of the creation of the quantum formalism
- Interpretations of wave function, relation to foundations of probability theory.
- Superposition principle.
- Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen experiment:
a) Quantum mechanics not complete?
b) Objective realism, contextualism (empiricism) or nonlocality? - Bell's inequality: realism/nonlocality?
- Bell's inequality: nonexistence of probability distributions.
a) Incompatible observables.
b) Ensemble fluctuations.
c) Negative, complex and p-adic probabilities. - Quantum information and teleportation, computing and cryptography: Shannon meets Bohr: Quantum Foundations in the Light of Quantum Information
- Pilot-wave theory, nonlocality.
- De Broglie double-solution theory.
- Stochastic quantization.
- Local realistic models, hidden variables.
- Quantum mechanics: a perculiarity of nature or just a special statistical method of the description of nature?
- Evidances of violations of quantum mechanical description?
The Conference will start at 17 June (Sunday), arrival 16 June; and lectures will finish at 13.00, 21 June (at the afternoon 21 June we may organize the final discussion).
It is important to know that there is the great celebration "Midsommar", the night
between 22nd and 23rd of June in Sweden. In connection with this it may interesting to combine the visit to Växjö with the visit to Stockholm. We also plan to try to organize something this night in Växjö (we will book the hotel until 23 June for those invited speakers who want stay in Växjö).
The list of conference speakers is practically completed. However, if there will be an interest we can organize the poster session. There will be also the possibility for everybody to make the presentation of views during round tables.
Send abstract (1-3 pages, latex or pdf) + application forms to: Andrei Khrennikov. It would be nice to get abstract: before 15 of May. They will be distributed at the Conference.
Application form:
Name, institute address, fax, e-mail.
Financial Support:
Unfortunetely we could not consider new applications for financial support (the main idea was to provide financial support to a good team of invited speakers).
