Transmedial Interaction: Western/non-Western Media Arts

The workshop on transmedial interaction between Western/European and non-western/Asian arts and cultures brought artists, curators and researchers of digital media from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Hongkong together with European researchers of transmedial studies, cross-cultural and globalization studies and digital humanities to discuss ways in which we can understand and create dialogue about the interplay of art, media and technology in an inter- and transcultural perspective that recognises both sides equally, the East and the West.
