Research

A major component of research at the School of Social Sciences is multi-disciplinary in nature, involving a number of major externally-financed research projects.

Some examples of research environments

CIDV (The Centre for Studies of International Development and Values) is a research centre within political science, pursuing research into corruption, political institutions, democratic development and political behaviour.

CALV (The Centre for Working Life Studies) is a research platform specialising in organisation and management, whose main task it is to discuss work science within education, research and external relations / community outreach. The research publication series Work in transition is published within the CALV framework.

The Forum for Research into the Professions (FPF) is a research profile with an inter-disciplinary perspective, examining various types of professionalisation process at work in society at large.

The Centre for Cultural Sociology (CCS) is a research environment with a focus on child and youth culture, studying the circumstances surrounding the lives of young people from a cultural-theoretical perspective.
