The Student Union at Linnaeus University (Linnéstudenterna)
Every Swedish university has a local Student Union. The union’s most important task is to protect and advance the quality of education at the university, and to represent the students in contacts with the university and the surrounding community. Above all, the union is there to offer support and advice to students who experience problems at the university.
Membership fee
In order to become a member of the Student Union, you are required to pay a membership fee.
Student Union Card
Having paid the membership fee, you will receive a Student Union Card. Using your card, you will receive discounts when travelling by plane, train or bus within Sweden. You will also receive discounts in certain stores and hotels.
Student activities
University life has much to offer. There are student pubs, and you can participate in events and cultural activities organised by the Student Union. Other student organisations also offer a wide variety of activities.
