Network management information
Information which affects staff at Linnaeus University concerning any scheduled network maintenance, network disruptions and maintenance windows is published on the IT Office’s RSS feed “News from Schools and IT” on the Lnu.se.

Maintenance windows
IT systems at Linnaeus University are becoming bigger and more complex. Pro-active and regular maintenance work is required for the systems to operate efficiently.
A predetermined maintenance schedule makes life easier for both system managers and users. The technicians responsible for system management will always have a date to work towards, and the users know that the systems they use will be maintained and when this takes place.
Maintenance windows at Linnaeus University
- Scheduled on the last Monday of each month between 18:00 and 22:00. May be extended, if necessary.
- Information about which systems will be affected during the maintenance window will be published via the IT Office’s network management information feed on the Intranet, at least one week before the scheduled date. The information will be published on Lnu.se/Student if the maintenance window also affects our students.
- The systems in question may be disrupted for short periods of time during the maintenance window.
- Exceptions from the maintenance window may occur in special cases, such as critical security updates.
