Student Account gives you access to services at the Linnaeus University
As a student at Linnaeus University, you have a personal student account that you use to
- register for your courses
- access your student email
- access the wireless network
- print to public printers
- access other services such as e-meetings, learning management systems, My Lnu.

What is a student account?
Your student account consist of a username and a password. You use the account for login to the public computers at the university, for login to My Lnu, to access personal storage space and many other services at the Linnaeus University. When can I get my student account?
Preliminary from week 33 (August 12), 2013, will you be able to obtain your new student account if you are admitted autumn term 2013 at Linnaeus University.
How do I get my student account?
You get your student account on our web service “Account checkout and administration”.
You need your account to Antagning.se or a one-time code to log in to the Account checkout page.
If you are at the university there are account checkout desks/computers that you can use to get your account.
How do I get my student account as an Exchange student or Freemover?
A few week before you arrive to the Linnaeus University you will receive two e-mail messages from the IT Office. The first e-mail contains information about your LNU social security number and information on how to obtain your student account. The second e-mail contains a one-time code.
You can then use the social security number toghether with the one-time code to login to the account checkout page.
I have protected identity and can´t get my student account?
If you have protected identity and have problems to obtain your student account, contact Monica Johansson on Department of Student Affairs.
I don´t have an account to Antagning.se?
Then you will need to get a one-time code. Use the link “Obtain your student account” to the right.
How do I get a one-time code?
You get a one-time code on our web service “Account checkout and administration”, see the link “Obtain your student account” to the right.
The one-time code will be sent to you on a sms, e-mail or with ordinary mail, depending of what kind of information is registered at Antagning.se or in Ladok.
You can also get a one-time code by visiting the IT Office and show a valid identification.
I can not log in with my new student account
After you have gotten your student account it normally takes about an hour before you can use it. Sometimes it can take longer depending on how many accounts are in the queue to be created.
For how long is my student account valid?
After you have gotten your student account you must register on your course within 90 days otherwise it becomes invalid. If the 90 days has passed and your account has become invalid you must go through the “Obtain your student account” procedure once again.
Once you are registered the validation date on your student account will be extended to 15 months after your last registered semester.

Can I use my old student account?
You don´t need to get a new account if you already have a valid student account at Linnaeus University. The validation date will automatically be extended after you have registered.

I have forgotten the username to my student account?
If you have forgotten your username for your student account you can get it by using our web service “Account checkout and administration”, see the link “Obtain your student account” to the right. Use your account to Antagning.se or get a new one-time-code to log in to the service.

I have forgotten the password to my student account?
If you have forgotten your password, you can get a new password at Lnu's account checkout page. You log in with your account to Antagning.se or with a one-time that you order from the account checkout page.
Go to the account checkout page to get a new password.
How can I change the password to my student account?
You can change the password once you are logged into your student email. The password to your student email is the same as your student account at Linnaeus University.

How do I log in to the Photo desk in Kalmar?
To log in at the Photo desks in Kalmar to order your swipe card you need a radius password. You can obtain your radius password by going to the link ‘Obtain radius password’ to the right. You log in by using your student account. You can also obtain your radius password by visiting the IT Office with a valid identification.
What services can I access with my student account at Linneaus university?
- Access to the wireless network at Linnaeus University
With your studen account you can log in to the wireless network "Eduroam". Read more about wireless network.
- E-mail
All students have access to an e-mail address with a central storage space of 300 Mbytes. Read more about E-mail.
- Personal and shared storage space
As a student you have access to a personal storage space (P:) of 600 Mbytes as standard.
Some courses/degree programmes provide their students access to shared folders on the S: drive.

- Printing, copying and scanning
As a student you can print, copy and scan on Linnaeus University's public machines, also print from your own computer.

- Access to the databases at the Linnaeus University library
With your student account you have access to the databases at the University Library even when you are outside the network of the Linnaues University. You will then need to use the links from the site of the University Library and you log in with your student account.

- Log in to the studentweb "My Lnu" and Learning platforms
You use your student account to log in to My Lnu. If your course/program is using a Learning platform you will have links to the course rooms once you are logged in to My Lnu.

- Access to the public computers
In Kalmar and in Växjö there are public computers that you can use by logging in with your student account.

You can use your student account to log in to Antagning.se.
- Access to the computer facilities at the university
In order to get access the computer facilities during the evenings and the weekends you need a swipe card. In order to get a swipe card you need to have a student account.
