Do you need help with information seeking? If you are a student, researcher or member of staff at Linnaeus University you can make an appointment with your subject librarian when you need to write a report, paper, examination assignment or thesis.
The library provides tutoring in information seeking. You describe your needs and the librarian will guide you in retrieving and making best use of information. For example you can get help with the following:
- Evaluating and choosing information sources
- Formulating suitable search terms based on a subject/problem statement
- Using suitable search techniques in database searches
The aim of the tutoring is to provide you with the tools to independantly be able to search for, evaluate and use information, based on the relevant requirements placed on the work you are doing.
