Learning support for your studies
All disabilities are individual which means that it is important that you get in touch with us as soon as possible even when you are still at the stage of considering what to study. This is because it can sometimes take time to plan the provision of the help and support you need. All support is offered on an individual basis and in order to be provided with assistance you need to have a medical certificate from a doctor, psychologist or approved assessor for reading and writing difficulties.
The idea behind the support we provide is that it should compensate for your disability, so that you can participate in your studies on the same level as your fellow students. After this it is your own input which does the rest.
The help provided by the university is in the form of learning and pedagogical assistance. Home computers and any other items required in the home are the responsibility of the municipality and county council (local health authority). In order to obtain help it is important to contact these authorities as early as possible.
