The Change Makers

Being a Change Maker is to create the conditions for ideas to leave the drawing board. Acting instead of just reflecting. Dare to step forward, challenge the established, and pave the way for the future. We are proud to introduce some of the Change Makers leading the way.

Forest values

Climate change and other societal challenges do not recognize borders. They are large and complex, national and global, and do not respect academic disciplines. That’s why we work interdisciplinarily, collaborating across various fields of research. In partnerships with other institutions, companies, and organizations, both in Sweden and internationally, we combine knowledge in new ways. This leads to new ideas that become solutions to real-world problems. Do you want to contribute to change? Your knowledge and expertise are needed to create the necessary change.

Linnaeus University brings together unique forestry and forest industrial research and education. With the goal of taking a comprehensive approach to the entire value chain, we tackle today’s and tomorrow’s sustainability challenges in a systematic way. From the tree in the forest, through development and production, to a long and sustainable lifetime for what is created. The forest's values include both forestry and wood construction technology, as well as smart production, digitalization, and data-intensive applications. Always with the forest's significance for biodiversity, tourism, cultural heritage, and artistic expression in mind.
