Hans Grönqvist: Criminal policy reforms – what works?
FILM | The rise in crime has led to a series of criminal policy reforms, such as tougher sentences and stop-and-search zones. But how well do these reforms actually work?
Hans Grönqvist is an economist and a member of the Swedish Criminal Justice Policy Action Lab. The research group analyses large amounts of register data, following individuals over time to see how criminal behaviour changes. In this way, they can measure how effective a reform really is.
