Combustion Technology II

7.5 credits

Course 1BT004 ”Combustion Technology I” introduces the most important process within energy technology – the combustion process – in a very simplified way. While the combustion process is certainly the most important to make practical use of the energy in fuels, it is also the one producing most of the air-borne emissions. The formation of emissions and the energy release are both controlled and delimited by mainly the same fundamental mechanisms, and this course deepens the understanding from the first course by introducing a dynamic view, chemical kinetics and turbulent mixing, to combustion.
