eHealth is about digital support for prevention, diagnosing, treatment and monitoring of health. eHealth includes for example the use of EHR in healthcare organizations, patients’ use of apps or healthcare information web-sites on the Internet and robots supporting in the care of elderly and disabled at home. eHealth offers opportunities to improve healthcare effectiveness but also implies a number of challenges. In this course we will offer an overview of different digital information technologies for healthcare. We will explore and compare the development, research and prerequisites for eHealth in different countries and discuss the opportunities and challenges of eHealth from a global perspective.
The course period starts with Welcome and Orientation Programme 10-11 July, 2020.
