English language and literature, an introduction
30 creditsThis course focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to English linguistics and literature in relation to relevant societal issues as well as research-related communication. The modules offered in the course are characterised by the academic and methodological connections of the subject to challenges in society. The courses are also influenced by the university’s prominent research centres with close connections to society, such as the postcolonial and intermedial research centres, as well as multicultural communication and text mining in Data Intensive Digital Humanities.

Just south of Växjö city centre lies Campus Växjö. Many students choose to live on campus.
Here you have friends, restaurants, lecture halls, gyms, a supermarket, the university library, outdoor recreation areas, and student pubs – all within a five-minute walk. You can also live in other parts of Växjö and easily reach the university by bike or bus.
