Internationalization of Entrepreneurial Firms

7.5 credits

The course deepens theoretical knowledge on internationalization process theories, with a particular focus on international entrepreneurship – being the discovery, enactment, evaluation and exploitation of opportunities across national boarders to create future goods and services. Application and analysis is made of small and medium-sized entrepreneurial firms expanding abroad. Such firms often have a rapid internationalization, labelled as International New Ventures or Born Globals being international from inception. Entrepreneurial firms are companies that bring new products and services to markets through identifying and acting on opportunities, and as part of the course focus on internationalization, the students will develop and present an international new venture proposal for an existing, or soon to be, INV.
