Methodology in Project Work

7.5 credits

This master course is given together with the master course LOCAL INNOVATION 4DI710. These two courses are part of the first semester of the master’s program in ‘Innovation through Business, Engineering and Design’. The goal of the program is to provide students with an understanding of how multidisciplinary knowledge supported by theoretical insight and emerging technologies can bridge with the social needs and values of our societies to provide the best possible local and global futures.

While the LOCAL INNOVATION course trains the innovation process through multidisciplinary projects carried out by students from Business, Engineering and Design, the methods course supports multidisciplinary project work. The course gives students knowledge in methods from the three fields of study as well as training in describing, explaining and applying the methods and tools necessary for an innovation process for sustainable product development.
