This course sets out to develop and deepen your knowledge about the music & event industry from a Scandinavian perspective. The Scandinavian conditions are also compared and put in a global context and perspective, with a certain focus on new media- and communication technologies as well as global music marketing. Also, this course investigates and discusses the impact of digital distribution and technology in the past, present and future. Along with what you already have learned from previous introduction courses and your previous experiences we set out to explore how and why the industry and its actors is shifting, changing and developing as the technology, society and culture are changing due to globalisation and other processes in society. Your knowledge and learning process is founded in literature, lectures, group discussions/seminars and written academic reports.
