Optimization methods
7.5 credits
This course is an introduction to modelling and solution of
problem where we seek an optimal solution of a function. Optimization problems both with and without constraints is treated and several methods are studied. A particular focus is on linear programming with the simplex method and duality, and futhermore the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. Large emphasis is on formulation and modelling of real problem.
