The course is about organization in and control of public organizations, especially with focus on differences and similarities between public and private organizations. The course deals among other things with theories about public organizations, control mechanisms in public organizations and their effects, and development tendencies in as well as problems and challenges with public organizations. The course contains applications where students are supposed to identify and analyze dilemmas that arise in practice in public organizations.
