The purpose of the course is to give the students a deeper understanding of the societal and civil organization of sport in Sweden. The course focuses on how sports are organized in different sectors of society and how the operations of sport in different sectors are related to each other. The course also focuses on the governance of sport in different parts of society, as well as giving political perspectives on the governance of sport in Sweden. In addition, sporting activities and the governance of sport is discussed from perspectives of equality, equity and rights.
