Statistical data processing
7.5 creditsUnlock the Power of Statistical Data Analysis and gain hands-on skills and the ability to implement essential statistical analyses using diverse software tools. The course focuses on the application of statistical methodology for analysis of data and is based on a number of smaller projects, each of which aims to provide the student with skills and ability to implement basic statistical analyses using different statistical software. Students will use visualization techniques to learn how to explore new data sets and determine the most appropriate approach. The course will also introduce robust statistical techniques as alternatives when data do not fit assumptions required by the standard approaches. By using scripts to analyze data, you will learn the basics of conducting reproducible research. The projects in the course are carried out using the statistical software SAS and R, but other software such as Python, SPSS, Excel or Ox may also be used. This course will provide students with knowledge of several software products, which is a competitive advantage in today's job market.

Distance – study where you are
Distance learning can be structured in different ways – it may be entirely online, or include a few on-campus sessions or meetings at one of our learning centres. The common factor is that most of the learning happens online.
You communicate with your teacher and fellow students through a learning platform, which provides access to discussion forums, group work opportunities, and digital meetings. In many cases, you also have access to recorded lectures via the platform.
The advantage of distance learning is its flexibility – ideal for those who want more freedom to decide when and where to study. However, keep in mind that some mandatory elements of your programme may take place during working hours, even if they are conducted online.
