Wood-based composites are vital products in wood industries due to their resource efficiency, enhanced properties, and versatility. By combining wood elements like veneers, particles, and fibers with adhesives, these composites offer strength, durability, and dimensional stability beyond natural wood. This course deals with different raw materials used for wood composites, traditional and new sustainable adhesives used for wood composites, production technologies, properties of raw materials and finished products, sustainability issues of wood composites industries. This course also offers practical aspects of manufacturing processes and laboratory testing of composite materials following standards.
