Altinget is a politically independent news portal that covers politics in Sweden and the EU. It is a replacement for Riksdag & Departement and aims to deliver unbiased and transparent political news, while also providing in-depth reports, analysis, and debate.
Altinget brings news through eleven subject areas. Linnaeus University has access to the following areas:
- EU
- National politics
- Security
To explore one of these topics, click on the menu in the top-left corner of Altinget’s website and select your preferred area.
The university also gives access to Beslutskedjan (the Decision Chain), a tool designed to track legislative cases from initiative (inquiry) to parliamentary decisions. The tool dispalys a timeline showing each step in the legislative process, with information added as each case progresses. It is continuously updated with data from the government and parliament, along with Altinget's own journalistic contributions. You can easily view summaries, key dates, and articles on each case all in one place. There is also an option to filter by committee, department, or perform a free-text search.
