Please note: The political situation in the United States is affecting the updates to ERIC as of April 23, 2025. This has resulted in a temporary reduction in the number of new documents being added. Users may experience delays or gaps in the availability of the most recent research materials.

ERIC Indexing Update from IES 17 June:

Following the award of the most recent ERIC contract, IES and the ERIC team conducted an analysis of the recency, coverage, and operating status of our current sources of content. Based on that analysis, will no longer index 159 sources (58 journals and 101 non-journals). More than 1,800 sources, including 1,215 journals and 608 non-journals, will continue to be indexed. Visit our listings of journals and non-journals to view these updates.

Update 5 September from ProQuest:

The ProQuest Education Research Index is a new resource developed in direct response to uncertainty around the future scope of ERIC.This index actively covers 75% of the journal titles covered by ERIC at its peak (including 75% of the titles recently dropped) with the intention of increasing coverage over time so that if titles are dropped from ERIC over time, the majority would continue to be covered by the index. The idea is that this index would be searched alongside ERIC since ERIC will still have content that the supplement might not such as a deeper backfile and grey literature. See the title list here.

Education Research Index can search both indexes at once, or you can still search ERIC or the supplement individually.
