Course: Education for Sustainable Development

Continuing professional development, 3 credits, Linnaeus University, autumn semester 2022

The course gathers teachers from all fields of subject and provides an introduction to and a basic understanding of sustainable development. The course is also intended to inspire and provide tools for integrating sustainable development within each respective field of subject. Members of staff in the University Administration who wish to develop the organisation’s work with sustainable development are also welcome!

The course is a unique opportunity to meet across traditional disciplines, and learn from each other through seminars, lectures and texts around sustainability challenges and education. The course participants contribute to the content through their knowledge and experiences from various fields and the course provides room to develop one’s own teaching, in a project work.

The course has been selected as a good example of competence development within education for sustainable development in the international network UE4SD, University Educators for Sustainable Development.

The course is offered every autumn semester.

In 2022 the course starts week 38 and includes three physical meetings:

  • September 21 all day
  • October 26 to 27 lunch to lunch
  • December 7 all day
