Linnaeus University utilises the service Pension Administration from SPV. This means that SPV manages all the pension administration for all Linnaeus University employees.
The agreement includes:
- answering your questions regarding occupational pension and group life benefits
- monitoring retirements
- contacting the employee well in advance of retirement, sending pension forecasts and service dictionary, as well as administering retirement pension applications

Individuals who receive disability pension from Försäkringskassan must report this to the Office of Human Resources in order for government disability pension to be paid out.
The retirement age is 65 and is achieved at the end of the month prior to the one the person turns 65. In the past, employees have had the opportunity to keep their position until the month they turn 67. On 1 January 2020, the age limit is raised to 68 and on 1 January 2023, the age limit is raised to 69.
The current regulations for terminating an employment through a written statement will be replaced with a simplified termination procedure from the employer.
You will be contacted by the National Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV) for additional information no later than seven months before the estimated retirement. If you wish to withdraw your pension at any other time, you must contact SPV yourself. SPV will answer all questions regarding occupational pension .
In addition to National retirement pension, all state employees will receive occupational pension in accordance with government pensions agreements.
