Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
CPR is a first aid treatment given to get the heart activity and breathing going in someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest. On this page you will find information about the university's CPR training that is carried out through our occupational health service, Falck.
The aim of the training is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid interventions in life-threatening conditions and increase the chance of survival of the sufferer. After completing the training, you should be able to diagnose respiratory and cardiac arrest and be able to correctly perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, alarm and feel comfortable handling defibrillators.

- Breath control
- Alarm
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Use and control of defibrillators
- Address airway obstructions
Two dates per semester, one occasion per location. One session a year is in English. In 2025, that opportunity will be placed in the spring semester in Kalmar on 21/5.
Minimum number of participants for the course start is 5 participants.

Cancellation can be made no later than three weeks before the training day, cancellation after that will be charged to the responsible unit.
