Student feedback
On how we map out students’, doctoral students’, and alumni’s experiences from their programmes through regular questionnaire surveys.
One part in Linnaeus University’s systematic quality-assurance work is to map out students’, doctoral students’, and alumni’s experiences from their programmes in relation to Linnaeus University’s internal quality-assurance system for education quality. This is done, among other things, through recurring questionnaire surveys.
The Council for Education and Learning is responsible for the content and implementation. The results form the basis for education dialogues, but can also be used in programme development work and other assessment contexts.
Linnébarometern
Linnébarometern is a powerful tool in our systematic quality-assurance work. The results are used in programme development work, in the dialogue between the university’s senior management team and the heads of faculty, and also form the basis in different assessment contexts. This year, the questionnaire is sent out to all programme students on first- and second cycle level.
In order for the survey to be as trustworthy and reliable as possible, it is important that we can make as many students as possible answer the questionnaire.
FAQ Linnébarometern 2021
To whom?
Linnébarometern 2021 is aimed at all programme students on first- and second-cycle level. Previously, it has only been sent out to students in the final stage of their programme.
Why?
The results can be used in programme development work, in the dialogue between the university’s senior management team and the heads of faculty, form the basis in different assessment contexts, and in our work with Goals 2025. Linnébarometern is a powerful tool in our systematic quality-assurance work.
In order for the survey to be reliable and useable at programme level, it is important that we can make as many students as possible answer the questionnaire.
When and how?
In the beginning of May 2021, all concerned students will receive an email to their student email account with short information about the survey and a link to the online questionnaire in Survey & Report. The survey is expected to go on for one month.
What do we measure?
In the questionnaire, student learning is at the centre, with focus on the programme’s content, implementation and examinations, not least in relation to the change to online teaching and examinations during covid-19. In addition, there are also questions about support functions, sustainability, and lifelong learning.
How will the results be presented?
The results will be presented shortly after summer in a university-common report and through shorter compilations for each faculty.
Earlier written reports from Linnébarometern have primarily focused on the results at faculty and programme level. If you are interested in taking part of these results, please contact the concerned party or request to have the documents sent to you by registrator@lnu.se
