Sustainable Internationalisation FKH

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities works actively with sustainable internationalisation to create new ways to stimulate openness and promote the exchange of knowledge between different countries, cultures, ages and scientific disciplines.

Sustainable internationalisation

Sustainable internationalisation or Internationalisation at Home (IaH) is an important part of internationalisation at higher education institutions. The concept has beed described as  “…the purposeful integration of international and intercultural dimensions into the formal and informal curriculum for all students within domestic learning environments” (Beelen & Jones, 2015).

Sustainable internationalisation means that all students must be able to enjoy the benefits that an international education brings, not just students going on exchange studies. This may for example, mean that international perspectives are included in the teaching, that interaction between regular students and international students is promoted and that digital technology is used to promote international cooperation.
