The Department of Criminology and Police Work

At the Department of Criminology and Police Work, the Police Programme is provided on behalf of the Swedish Police Authority. In addition, the department has a number of different contracted courses that are given on behalf of the Police Authority and other authorities.

The department also has freestanding courses in the subjects of criminology and police work. Both of these main fields of study can be studied up to a Bachelor's degree.

The department is home to the Centre for Police Research and Development (CPU). The centre is an interdisciplinary research environment that conducts research and development projects related to police activities with a particular focus on crime prevention and security-creating measures, organisational issues, police interrogations and collaboration.
