Schedules and facilities, Faculty of Technology
Classrooms and schedules at Linnaeus University are managed inTimeEdit. Reach out to the faculty's/department's administrator for TimeEdit if you need help with scheduling your courses. Note that the procedures for submitting schedules may vary between Växjö/Kalmar or between different departments.
Students have the opportunity to see booked teaching sessions via their personal schedule on the student web. Course or programme start dates are also displayed on the external website (lnu.se) on each programme/course page.
Scheduling
According to local regulations the schedule must be available to students at least 1 month before the course starts. Any mandatory course activities must be indicated in the schedule.
Schedule Booking
Schedule booking for teaching in FTK's and central rooms is done through your department's schedule coordinator. The Office of Facilities Management and Services (LOS) allocates central classrooms in 4 periods per year. The booking of schedules needs to follow these deadlines, as late submissions for central classrooms are processed after all other allocations have been made. Late submissions and orders placed after the allocation have lower priority.
For more information regarding your specific department, please contact your schedule coordinator.
Classroom Allocation
Teaching rooms owned by the faculty, such as computer labs or laboratories, are booked directly by the respective schedule coordinator. General rooms are entered into TimeEdit in the same way, but the booking must be confirmed by LOS before they become final. The requested booking is shown in italics in TimeEdit until it is confirmed.
After the scheduling is completed and all classrooms have been allocated, available central classrooms are released, known as "Availability Booking." This means that after a certain date, schedule coordinators can also book general classrooms if they are available at the desired time.
Cancellation
Room cancellations must be made well in advance, more than 5 days before the teaching session. If the cancellation of a general classroom is made later, the department will have to pay regardless. The faculty owned rooms can be canceled at any time. However, please respect the 5-day rule so that students can rely on their schedule and the room can be used by others.
Meeting rooms
You can book meeting rooms with the booking service in TimeEdit-webb.
- Sign in by clicking "Employees"
