Purpose and function
Purpose and Function
The purpose with the Advisory Board for SmålandsNavet within School of Business and Economics is to create closer contact with representatives from business and society. The diverse professional experiences of the group members enable exciting discussions and reflections on challenges in our environment, thereby providing a much-needed and important sounding board for SmålandsNavet and its development. We also hope for the group's support as our ambassadors, to make our research and education visible and spread knowledge in relevant networks.
The purpose of the council is to provide SmålandsNavet with guidance to strengthen the operations both in the short and long term. The council will be advisory on various issues and will be linked to the School of Business and Economics' collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.
Questions to the council are initiated by both the dean and the members of the council.
The council meets approximately 4 times a year.
The function of the council is to provide valuable feedback on how the labor market is developing, what future needs small and medium-sized enterprises see in a longer perspective within our areas and research fields. The council should also act as a bridge between academia and the labor market with the aim of giving the School of Business and Economics the opportunity for broader impact within collaboration.
Composition
Participants in the Advisory Board should be representatives from the private and public sectors. The composition of the council should be as broad as possible to have a wide anchoring and knowledge to bring into the council. The Governor of Kronoberg County is the chairman of the council.
