Exams
Here you will find information about exams at the School of-Business and Economics.
At the School of Business and Economics, the exam schedule is managed by the education administration.
- Exams in Kalmar: please contact Angelica Wendt
- Exams in Växjö: please contact Lollo Leijner
There are different forms of examinations; in hall at campus, in the course room, in a computer room and via Inspera. Read more about the different exam forms below.
Hall at campus
The examination takes place in hall on campus and the seats are booked by the education administration.
- Exams in the autumn semester are booked during the spring semester, in April
- Exams in the spring semester are booked during the autumn semester, in October
Information about any changes regarding date/time needs to be received on as soon as possible so that it is possible to book new seats.
Invigilators for examinations in hall are arranged by the central examination unit.
The students are anonymous via their anonymization code and must sign up for the exam in order to write it. If a student has not signed up, it is possible to go to the exam hall and talk to the invigilators and see if a seat is available. If a seat is available, the student can start to wright the exam 45 minutes after the original start time.

Course room
The exam in the course room is an exam written by the student from any location via their student account in the course room on Moodle. The teacher decides whether or not the students will have to register for an exam in the course room. If desired, the course coordinator/examiner can manage the planning of the exam schedule themselves when they are in the course room. If so, please contact ekonomihogskolan@lnu.se
Computer room
When an exam is given in a computer room, the student writes the exam via a computer in a prebooked room at the university.
The seats are booked by the education administration.
Inspera
An exam via Inspera is a digital exam that in a pre-booked room via the Inspera platform.
If a student has not signed up for an exam via Inspera, it is not possible to appear and possibly write the exam 45 minutes after the start time, as is the case with exams in a hall at campus. This is because the system requires the anonymization code provided via the student's email address.
The teacher decides whether the students can access the exam afterwards via the inspera page and also how much they can see, for example the results, questions and answers.

Examine at another location
Examine in Växjö instead of Kalmar and vice versa
A student can, only on re-exam 2, take the exam in Växjö instead of Kalmar and vice versa if it has the same course code and time-frame. The student needs to contact course coordinator/examiner and get a written approval to write the exam in the other location. The education administration needs to receive the approval before the last day of signing up for the exam.
Examine at a location other than the Linnaeus University
Please note that currently a student cannot apply to write an exam via Inspera at another location.
