Study counselling
Our student counsellors provide programme students with advice and guidance on issues related to application, eligibility, programme options, individual study planning, study breaks, graduation requirements, or creating a custom programme. They are also a valuable resource for you as a programme director when it comes to what prospective students want to know and ask for. Study counsellors also have good knowledge of the governing documents that regulate our organization and operations.

Educational administrative support

Assurance of Learning, AoL
Assurance of Learning, or AoL as we commonly refer to it, is a process and a tool that we at the School of Business and Economics have chosen to use in our efforts to improve the quality of our educational programmes for the benefit of our students.
For each programme, there are programme objectives that the School of Business and Economics students are expected to achieve. To gauge how well these objectives are being met, the students' performance is compared against the expectations. This is done through direct measurements of the programme goals. For these AoL measurements, assessment sheets are used where the assessor evaluates whether the students 'do not meet expectations', 'meet expectations', or 'exceed expectations'.
The results are then compiled and analyzed, to serve as the basis for improvement measures for the programmes and their content.

Exchange studies for programme students at the School of Business and Economics
If your programme allows for one or more exchange semesters for students, there is administrative support available at the faculty and at the International Office.
The application for exchange studies is open in two rounds, the first one during October-November and the second one during February-March. Students always apply for the upcoming academic year.
At the School of Business and Economics, there are two international coordinators who support programme directors and students.

Student representation and student influence
According to the Higher Education Act, students have the right to influence their education, which means they have the right to be represented when decisions are made or preparations are made that are important for the education or the students' situation.
For the programmes at the School of Business and Economics, there are student representatives in the programme councils. These are decided by Linnékåren, but recruitment is done locally through the faculty. For students to receive compensation, they must be appointed by the union.
If you have questions regarding student representation at the faculty, contact the person responsible for student representation, such as someone who is in contact with the union about new bodies that require student representation or changes in the number of seats.
- Emmelie Hedin Ekholm Contact person for student representation
On Linnékåren's website, there is an application form that students who want to be representatives must fill out, as well as a register of appointed representatives.
https://linnek.se/eng/studentrepresentant/
Appointed student representatives are offered to participate in training held by the union and central functions, the compensation for which goes through the body for which the representative is appointed.
Student feedback
The university's starting point is that emerging feedback or problems should be solved as close to their source as possible according to the process description Handling of student feedback. In most cases, the teacher who teaches the course can receive feedback and solve any problems that arise. Students can also contact you as the programme director. If this does not work, the matter should be escalated to the relevant head of department. In some cases, it may involve appeals under Chapter 12 of the Higher Education Ordinance. If there are appeals involved, they are handled according to a specific procedure. Complaints under the discrimination law and the work environment act are also handled according to a specific procedure.
More information for students is available on Lnu.se Student rights and responsibilities.
