Research applications
Management and registration of external research applications
Support for research applications is available both centrally (GIO) and at the faculty. Faculty offices help with formalities such as budget, need for co-financing, possible coordination of signatures, and registration in the financial system.
GIO provides support in the application process, by finding funding and calls and clarifying requests, reading through, giving feedback and commenting on applications.
Routine
1- Project budget
Researchers contact the department's economist well in advance of the deadline to jointly work out the project's budget.
2 - Co-financing
The economist documents any need for co-financing and who finances what. The information is entered on the intended form "co-financing plan" to be attached to the application documents.
3 - Anchorage
The researcher is responsible for ensuring that the application and any need for co-financing is anchored with the head of department, dean or vice-chancellor according to delegation order. This is documented in writing on the intended form "dean's certificate for externally funded projects" obtained by the economist or the research officer.
The above-mentioned steps must be done before the application is sent to the financier.
4 - Signatures
The researcher is responsible for ensuring that the application is signed according to the delegation order. If the vice-chancellor's signature is needed, contact the Grants and Innovation Office. If the researcher wishes, the research officer is assisted in coordinating signatures; contact if this must be taken well in advance of the deadline (especially important if the vice-chancellor's signature is needed).
If the financier applies the application to paper/e-mail: Signature must be available when the application is sent.
If the financier applies electronic registration and signature: No later than the day after the application has been registered in the financier's system, it should be signed in accordance with delegation schemes before sending the annex to the financier.
When the financier does not require a signature in connection with the application: Steps 1-3 above must be completed.
5 - The Diaries
All applications must be registered. Applications where researchers are co-applicants with researchers from, for example, other higher education institutions must also be registered. If the application contains sensitive information, the entire application does not need to be registered.
The researcher normally submits a complete application form with signatures and information about possible co-financing with internal mail to "Registrar Växjö", or by e-mail: registrator@lnu.se Registrar then emails the research officer and economist registered document, which in turn informs the researcher concerned.
6 - Registration
The economist registers all external applications in Agresso.
7 - Announcement
When the financier submits a notification of approval or rejection of the research application, this information must also be recorded; this is done by the researcher sending the information to the registrar (paragraph 5). The registrar forwards the information to the research officer and economist.
