The purchase and procurement of goods and services for Linnaeus University's operations must be carried out in a legal, commercial and efficient manner. The University's needs and goals must be taken into account in the procurement process, and the procurements must be made at the right quality, time and cost.
The procurement function
The procurement function supports the University's operations throughout the procurement process from need to delivery. This means:

The procurement function is responsible for procurement and renewed competitive tendering that exceeds SEK 700,000.
Organisation for purchasing and procurement
The procurement function is part of the Finance Division and has the main task of coordinating and leading procurement activities at Linnaeus University. Within the procurement function, the procurer and contract controller work to meet the business's procurement needs.
Assignments and services
Faculties, departments and divisions can advantageously contact the procurement function to ensure that procurements and purchases are made in accordance with the regulations provided by the Public Procurement Act (LOU), as well as Linnaeus University's procurement policy and internal rules. It should also be taken into account that Linnaeus University always carries out procurements on the best possible commercial terms.
The procurement function is responsible for the University's procurements above the direct award limit of SEK 700,000. They also have a consultative task in investigating and answering all questions related to procurement and procurement. The tasks also include arranging training and disseminating information about procurement issues within the university.
