Student instructions to use in your courses
If you want to use LnuPlay in your teaching it is vital to properly inform the students on how to use it in order to build confidence in handling media.
On this page you will find a number of exemplary texts, complete with links to guides for the students. Copy these texts to your course and do necessary adjustments to fit your needs.
As a teacher you can find guides for your own usage of media in your teaching on Serviceportalen.

- Embed your video to the post by clicking the button shaped as a colorful "sun" in the text editor: "LnuPlay Media".
- In the window that opens, select your video from your media list by clicking the "Select" button.
- Your video will now show as a link in your text. Do not touch the link! When you submit your post it will transfer into a video window showing the video.

General media instructions
This is an example text that you can copy to your own course room when you want your students to submit a video in a discussion post. Place this text in a separate Page resource to save space on the course page.
In this course you will be creating video/audio recordings that are to be used in discussion posts or as an assignment.
Linnaeus University offers a free program (Kaltura Capture) to record and upload video to Moodle from your computer. It is available for Windows and Mac, but not for mobile devices or Chromebooks. It can be downloaded from the page "My Media" (Moodel-> Help & Resources -> My Media). By using this program you can record your web cam and/or what happens on your computer screen (for instance record a powerpoint presentation).
You do not have to install this software but can record via anything else that you like, including from Zoom. We have gathered some tips on software to use in this article at serviceportalen.
Regardless how you record, including recording on your mobile device, you should upload the finished recording to My Media in Moodle. That makes it easy to use in your courses.
