The service mediates conversations between people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-impaired and who use text phones, and people who use regular phones. Calls between users of regular and text telephones are conveyed verbatim by telephone operators (including to/from abroad). Conversations are conveyed to/from both Swedish and English but are not translated. The service is free of charge and is open around the clock every day of the year.


The service is operator-independent, which means that the service can be accessed from the telecom operator the user chooses to call with and with the chosen operator's tariff.
