Faculty of Social Sciences
The Faculty of Social Sciences is one of Linnaeus University’s five faculties. We have approximately 400 employees and around 3500 students in Växjö and Kalmar.

Our students are offered a wide range of study options. Internationalization is a natural and significant part of our activity. As our student, you have the opportunity to study, carry out your degree project, or do an internship abroad.
New knowledge
We are committed to making sure that the creative meetings at the intersections between research and education will lead to new knowledge for our students, ourselves as well as our partners.
The underlying goal of all programmes is to equip students for the ever-changing labour market – on a national as well as international level – in both the public and the private sectors.
Multidisciplinary research
Research in the social sciences is characterized by multidisciplinarity. We conduct research within the fields of democracy development, corruption, children and youth cultures, the living conditions of young people, and sustainable working life.
We offer graduate programmes in the fields of sociology, political science, education and social work.
