PRME

One of Linnaeus University's target areas prioritises systematic and visible sustainability work in all parts of the operation. Agenda 2030 identifies a number of global challenges that require restructuring of social and economic systems and the relationship to ecological systems.

In line with the university's goals, the School of Business and Economics has identified a need to work more systematically with sustainability throughout its operations. On May 22, 2024, the Faculty Board made a decision to use an international tool for more systematic work with sustainability, by becoming members of the member organisation PRME, Principles for Responsible Management Education, initiated by the UN to increase work with the global sustainability goals.

PRME provides a systematic tool for the three aspects of sustainability; environmental, social and economic. By applying the tool, it is ensured that students are systematically educated in sustainability, while also requiring that the organisation be run from a sustainable approach.
