Do you need help to meet the challenges of teaching in higher education? We are ready to help you enhance your courses and programmes - as well as creating a context for activities, disciplines, subject areas and ideas with a shared responsibility for educational quality. Along with our regular teacher training courses in higher education we can offer direct support, seminars and other forms of collaboration to help you meet these challenges. We aim to offer a knowledge-driven and needs-based service.
Some of the challenges we see on the horizon are reduced budgets that mean fewer contact hours between teacher and students and this risks widening the pedagogical distance. The recent years' focus on widening participation in higher education has also increased the need for better support for our new students. Here we would like to make a distinction between student-centered and student-oriented learning where the latter term represents a move against the deprofessionalisation of the teacher's work by creating the right preconditions for the students' learning.
