Projects and networks
Linnaeus University takes part in a number of projects and networks, many of these are at department level. Below you will find a presentation of the university-wide collaborations that the university is part of.
Baltic University Programme
Baltic University Programme (BUP) is a university collaboration with some 90 member universities in the Baltic Sea region. The main purpose is to strengthen regional education and research collaborations, but also to promote a greater awareness within the field of sustainable development, environmental protection, and democracy.

EUniWell
EUniWell (European University for Well-being) is a strategic university-wide collaboration and is one of the alliances included in the EU's European Universities Initiative within Erasmus +.
Euraxess
Euraxess is a network with support from the European Commission that promotes researcher mobility and career development in Europe. Linnaeus University is a Euraxess centre.
International Association of Universities
International Association of Universities (IAU) is a member-led NGO that works within higher education. The organisation works together with UNESCO.
iSchool
iSchool refers to research and education at university level within the field of information (iField) that is based on interdisciplinary approaches.
Lärosäten Syd with representatives in Brussels
The Brussels office of Lärosäten Syd supports seven of Sweden’s higher education institutions to increase awareness of the higher education institutions’ profiles at EU level and to establish international partnerships. Thus, the Brussels office is a good supplement to GIO support for research, collaboration, and innovation at Linnaeus University. As a researcher, you can either contact the Brussels office directly or your representative at the higher education institution.

MIRAI 2.0
MIRAI 2.0 is a project that aims to develop long-term research collaborations between Swedish and Japanese higher education institutions. Focus areas are artificial intelligence, sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, materials science, and ageing.
New European Bauhaus
Linnaeus University is an official partner of the New European Bauhaus initiative, an interdisciplinary meeting place where we together shape our future sustainable and inclusive living environments. By cutting across disciplines and building on broad participation, the New European Bauhaus wants to facilitate and guide the transformation of our societies along three inseparable values: Sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion.
Nordlys
Nordlys is a Nordic university network that promotes Nordic student mobility. The members are made up of 38 broad universities from Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
SANORD
SANORD (The Southern African Nordic Center) is a network that works to promote collaborations and contacts within higher education in southern Africa and the Nordic countries.
Scholars At Risk
Scholars At Risk (SAR) is an international network with the purpose to safeguard academic freedom and defend human rights for researchers around the world.
SIREUS
SIREUS is a three-year collaboration together with The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce (SACC-USA) with focus on knowledge exchange in innovation, science and entrepreneurship and increased talent mobility for students and researchers between Sweden and the U.S.

SWETALY is a collaboration project that is intended to strengthen relations between Sweden and Italy in research and higher education. Focus is on ageing, AI, and researchers at risk.

Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden
Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden is a collaboration between five regions and two higher education institutions in southern Sweden, with presence in Brussels. Part of the Brussels office’s mission is to monitor relevant analyses of political initiatives and bill proposals, programme and funding opportunities, and to participate in various collaboration platforms.
