About the content of this conference

The conference is structured around current themes: crime prevention, violence-promoting extremism, police organization governance and leadership, particularly vulnerable areas and education-related matters. Each section is based on a theme and brings together researchers and practitioners to elucidate the theme from different perspectives.

One section is dedicated to doctoral and masters’ students related to police matters with the aim of gathering younger researchers to strengthen networks and collaboration in the field. We also welcome suggestions on other topics related to police work, police matters in a broad sense in research, education and practice.
Through four plenary lectures held by police, researchers and community debaters; we want to highlight police data in a larger social context and be able to identify both challenges and opportunities. The conference concludes with a panel of representatives for practice, education and research that discusses challenges and opportunities with each other and the audience.
