SWEGPEC Annual Workshop 2019
Swedish Graduate Program in Economics (SWEGPEC) workshop for Ph.D. students will be held November 21-22 in Växjö. The workshop is organized for Ph.D. students in Economics in the SWEGPEC network in order to give Ph.D. students a chance to present and discuss their papers and receive constructive feedback.
The invited keynote speakers are Professor Anna Dreber Almenberg and Professor Dan-Olof Rooth.
Anna Dreber Almenberg is a behavioural economist and the Johan Björkman professor of Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics.. Currently, she is mainly interested in replications and predicting replication outcomes. Her work has been published in both Nature and Science. She is a Wallenberg Academy Fellow, a member of the Young Academy of Sweden, and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). She is affiliated with the Department of Economics at the University of Innsbruck and the Credence Goods, Incentives and Behaviour group.
Dan-Olof Rooth is a guest Professor of Economics at Linnaeus University and Professor of Economics at SOFI, Stockholm University. His main research interests include labour economics, migration health economics, and political economy. He is a guest researcher at the University College London, IZA Institute of Labor, and University of California. He has published in top journals in Economics including the American Economic Review.
Deadline for registration and abstract submission was October 31
Accommodation (but not travel) will be organized and paid for PhD students within the SWEGPEC network as well as for discussants. However, we will not be able to arrange accommodation for participants that register after October 31.
PhD students without a paper to present, supervisors, and other persons wishing to attend the conference should also register by October 31st. Supervisors may be allocated a paper to discuss during the workshop.
