Linnaeus University is situated primarily in Kalmar and Växjö, but also in Gothenburg (optometry program). Further down on this page you will find contact information, postal and physical addresses, opening hours, and maps and a digital tour of our buildings in Kalmar and Växjö. Everyone, students, prospective students or the public is welcome to visit Linnaeus University and during opening hours, there are no restrictions regarding access to the buildings on the Campuses.
Infocenter
You are always welcome to ‘Infocenter’ when you are looking for general information and service, directions or guidance concerning whom to turn to within the organization. As a student you can also:
• get registration certificate showing your course registrations
• get an official transcript
• buy promotional products
• top up your printing credits
• collect your swipe card (only in Växjö)
We also take care of lost and found valuables.
Both campuses are easily accessible for pedestrians and cyclists through walkways and bike paths. There are also frequent public buses with stops next to campus entrances. It is possible to park cars for free on both campuses. For more information please look further down this page.

Getting to Linnaeus University
Travelling to Växjö
You can reach Växjö by direct flights from Bromma Stockholm Airport to Växjö Småland Airport.
You can also reach Växjö via flights to Copenhagen Airport/Kastrup and a connecting direct train to Växjö station (approximately 2.5 hours). Travelling by train will take you to Växjö station situated in the city centre.
For travelling between Växjö Småland Airport and Linnaeus University, or Växjö city centre and Linnaeus University, taxi or bus is recommended.
Bus to campus
Bus no 4 takes you from Växjö Småland Airport to Växjö city centre where you change bus for Linnaeus University.
There are several alternatives for travelling by bus between Växjö city centre and Teleborg, where campus is situated. The best option is bus no 3 that goes directly to the university. Other alternatives are to take bus no 1 or bus no 5 to Teleborg centrum, which is located an 8–10 minute walk from the university.

Travelling to Kalmar
You can reach Kalmar by direct flights from Bromma Stockholm Airport to Kalmar Öland Airport.
From 27 January 2025, you can fly directly between Arlanda and Kalmar.
You can also reach Kalmar via flights to Copenhagen Airport/Kastrup and a connecting direct train to Kalmar station (approximately 4 hours). Travelling by train will take you to Kalmar station situated in the city centre.
For travelling between Kalmar Öland Airport and Linnaeus University, taxi or bus is recommended.
Bus from Kalmar Öland Airport to Kalmar city centre
Kalmar Öland Airport is located about 5 km from the city centre. Shuttle bus number 402 takes you to Kalmar center. Buses are operated by Kalmar Länstrafik, see link for timetable.

Parking
Parking in Kalmar
There is 182 parking places in the multistory car park at Stuvaregatan 8. There are also 15 parking spaces for electric cars.
Fees for the multistorey car park:
- SEK 10/hour (day), 7 am–6 pm
- SEK 5/hour (night), 6 pm–7 am
- SEK 80/24 hours
- SEK 600/month
Parking in Växjö
Linnaeus University offers around 900 parking spaces with a fee of SEK 2/hour or SEK 20/24 hours. There are also 60 free-of-charge parking spaces at Stallvägen (next to building S).
There are also roughly 50 parking spaces have charging points for electric cars. The fee for parking spaces with charging point are SEK 5/hour. Parking spaces with charging points are available at P06, P08, P10, P11, P12 and P14.
You pay the fee in one of the following ways:
- Using the parking app Aimo (earlier MobilPark) described on the signs, you start, extend and end your parking session, save license plate number for your vehicles, and choose how to pay your invoices. More information below.
- Using the text service (see signage), you start your parking by sending a text, and end it by sending another one. The cost will not be included in your phone bill, instead you will reveice a separate invoice, which means that you can use your service phone. An invoice fee will be added.
- Coin-operated machine is available at P06 Studentstigen.
- Card-operated machine is available at P10 Gulan.
There is a ban on night parking (at 00.00–05.00) for all university parking spaces, regardless of fee paid.
For night parking, we refer to the parking lot at Brände udde, Stenladan, the castle parking lot and about 30 guest parking lots that can be found on Studentstigen 2-4, PG Veides väg 2,10 and 15, Tuvanäsvägen 2 and 8, and Georg Lückligs väg 10.

All main entrances to the houses are open:
Monday-Friday, 7.30-17.00

The houses that do not have general study places (applies to Växjö, house GP, H (Fh) and L) are open:
Monday-Friday, 8.00-17.00
As a student, you have access to the houses with your Lnu card and code, at most between 06.00-23.00, but times vary depending on the building and the room.

Requesting access to public documents
All official documents stored at Linnaeus University are public documents. This means that they fall under the principle of public access to official documents, granting the public the right to access them. However, certain documents may contain information that is protected by confidentiality. When a document is subject to confidentiality, the university always conducts a review before releasing it. This confidentiality review may result in parts of the document being redacted or the document not being released at all.

Search for course syllabuses at kursplan.lnu.se. Contact the university’s archive if you cannot find the syllabus you are looking for.
What are public documents?
A document, in this context, is essentially anything that contains information of some kind – for instance, a paper document, a digital file on a hard drive, an audio recording, or similar.
Public documents must be provided without delay
Public documents must be provided as soon as possible, which normally means within 1–2 days. However, it may take longer if you request a large number of documents, documents requiring extensive confidentiality reviews, or documents that are difficult to retrieve.
You can remain anonymous
You do not need to disclose who you are or why you are requesting documents. However, if the documents are subject to confidentiality, we may need to ask who you are and what you intend to use the documents for.
When we cannot release documents
If you are denied access to a public document, you are entitled to the rejection decision in writing from Linnaeus University. If you believe the decision is incorrect, you can appeal it to the administrative court of appeal.
