International Day 2017
International Day 2017 – an inspiration day about international opportunities. A joint arrangement of the International Office, the Office of Student Affairs and the faculties.
To highlight international opportunities offered at Linnaeus University and to inspire to create international opportunities in student life, we invite you to an inspiration day on 11 October.
During the day, former Linnaeus University students will share their stories about international experiences and career paths, there will be career guidance, information about international opportunities for you as a student at Linnaeus University and much more!
The target group for International Day 2017 is all students at Linnaeus University. International Day 2017 is organized in cooperation with the event International Opportunities in Student Life, which is aimed at board members of student associations.
Programme
8.30 Bus from Kalmar to Växjö. The bus departs from the Falken building (Nygatan 18B; in front of the library).
9.30-10.00 Welcome! Fika in the entrance hall of the M building.
10.00-10.45 Three parallel lectures:
- Internationalisation IRL – from a student perspective. Students share their practical experiences
Room M1053 (in English) - Information about international opportunities at Linnaeus University, including opportunities to apply for a MFS scholarship
Room M1083 (Södrasalen) - A former student shares international experiences and career paths

11.00-12.00 Smiling Group: From university initiative to international company

15.10 Bus to Kalmar departs from taxi zone A (University Square, Växjö)
International Day is free of charge for all students. We offer coffee and lunch as well as bus service between Kalmar and Växjö.
