Welcome to the weekly IMS seminar!
This week we will be visited by Heidi Hart from Weber State University, and we will be discussing Hart's article draft on “Sonic decay: Un-tuning in the age of climate crisis".
The paper centres on sound and its power in "evoking environmental otherness" - an otherness between human and non-human agents in contemporary media dealing with ecological issues through a case study of the soundtracks for the tv-series Dark (2017-) and Annihilation (2018-).
