On June 2, 2021 Linnaeus University will hold its closing ceremony for all students who complete their 1-year or 2-year master programmes in Växjö and Kalmar during the academic year 2020/2021.
For students in Kalmar, the ceremony will be held on June 2 at Kalmar Theatre.
Kalmar Theatre, 02-04 p.m., all faculties.
The closing ceremony opens with a welcome speech by the pro-vice-chancellor and the Student Union. This is followed by entertainment and tribute ceremonies. And the closing ceremony will end with the students' speech.
Invitation and registration
Registration will open in February 2021. To register you click on the link for registration that you will find in your pdf-invitation you will get by e-mail in the beginning of 2021. Last day to register is on April 18.
The closing ceremony master level are broadcasted live
The closing ceremony master level are broadcasted live on the web. This way, your family, friends and relatives can take part of the event even if they do not have the possibility to be present.
You can see the closing ceremony broadcasted here on June 2, 2021 between 02-04 pm and only that day.
Nominate to the Students speech
At the closing ceremony in Växjö Concert Hall and Kalmar Theatre respectively, one student will give a valedictorian speech to the other students. Students and teachers are welcome to nominate any student to give this valedictorian speech, as long as the nominated student is registered for the closing ceremony 2021.
The person that is chosen as the Student Speaker by the Student Union and Linnaeus University will receive a certificate and coaching in public speaking.
A link for the nomination will come in February 2021. Deadline for the nomination is on April 18, 2021.
Nominated person will be contacted latest on April 23, 2021.
