From knowledge transfer to personal development: The changing needs of Generation Z in higher education

As part of the EUniWell Open Lecture Series, Dr György Purebl from Semmelweis University will be speaking on "From knowledge transfer to personal development: The changing needs of Generation Z in higher education" on Thursday, 10 February.

György Purebl MD, PhD is a full professor, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist. His main interests incorporate suicide prevention, sleep medicine, the interaction amongst mental and physical disorders, and psychological interventions in general health care. He is the leader of the outpatient Centre of Psychosomatic Disorder at Semmelweis University, and the director of the Institute of Behavioural Sciences.

Beside his clinical work, Dr Purebl has achieved much experience in prevention and health promotion. He is engaged as leading psychiatric expert in Hungarian Alliance against Depression, and in OSPI (on behalf of the Hungarian partner). He was the leader of Work Package 4 (Taking Evidence-based Actions Against Depression and Suicide, E-Health) of the EU initiative Joint Action on Mental Health and Well-being. He was the president of Hungarian Psychiatric Association (2016-2018). Recently he is engaged as work package leader to the European MENTUPP programme (Improving workplace mental health in the construction, health and ICT sectors).
